Typical North Idaho snowcat day

Although no day could be considered “typical” here at Peak Adventures, a typical day goes a little something like this: your group will begin the day at 7 am in Cataldo at headquarters. Before embarking on our North Idaho snowcat snowboarding, skiing or snowshoeing voyage, we go over safety information and introductions. Then it’s off to the snowcats to hit a variety of terrain chosen to accommodate the interests and skill levels present in the group. Depending on how much daylight we have (days tend to be shorter in December and January), group skill levels and desires, we average anywhere from 8-15 glorious runs in a day. We’ll have a hot drink in the morning, hot lunch and drinks throughout the day. We try to make you as comfortable (and warm!) as possible when you’re not enjoying the joys of your North Idaho backcountry snowcat snowboarding or skiing trip of a lifetime.
